NOTES
The Rod Laver does not have any side stripes.
The first Rod Laver was white and green with mesh side panels and a leather toe piece and tongue. The second model had similar characteristics to the earlier version and was an instant hit. adidas went on to produce the Rod Laver in a small run of colourways.
The model’s smooth sides and minimal branding were influential in its reissue in the late 1990s. adidas experimented with different types of leather uppers, including perforated as well as quilted versions.     Â
          Â
adidas collaborated with the London store Oki-Ni to produce the Rod Laver NPF, available in five special colourways. The trefoil logo version in particular is a great collectors’ item.
