NOTES
The Forum was reintroduced on to the market In the mid-1990s.
Â
The adidas Forum was produced in high-, mid- and low-top versions – a first for an adidas basketball shoe at that time. All variants had an ankle strap.
adidas did a lot of experimentation on the upper of the Forum. The use of enamel, for example, was particularly new and refreshing.
In addition, the Forum was sometimes produced in unusual colours, such as chocolate brown, which proved popular with consumers. Surprisingly, however, it was the Forum’s $100 price tag that proved its main attraction: it gave the sneaker status.
